100 days before the start of the Olympics in Sochi. Yesterday, Putin once again visited the Olympic venues, demonstrating them to the next commission, and also spoke to the builders, all this was shown on Channel One.
At first, Putin pulled the wool over the eyes of the commission, deliberately holding them exclusively where everything was 99% ready (although, rather, everything was presented to the president himself in rosy tones). Then Putin was bullied by Olympstroy, where they brought the “builders” of the Olympics to a meeting with the president. This is who the president saw:
Exceptionally photogenic young people in clean overalls and helmets, helmets probably to show how intense the work was, people were taken away from work for literally a few minutes that they didn’t even have time to take them off. I don’t think the meeting took place at an active construction site, otherwise the president would also be wearing a helmet. But we know how the preparation for such meetings takes place, people are selected in advance, checked, then they wait for hours for the Chief to arrive, not only they wait, but also half the city with the streets blocked off.

Everyone is talking about the most expensive Olympics in the history of mankind, costing about 50 billion dollars, but at the same time, paradoxically, probably the cheapest and most unskilled labor force in the history of Olympic construction is used. Imagine how many billions end up in the pockets of the organizers and main contractors. I would not be surprised if it turns out that they save not only labor, but also materials. And what will happen as a result, disposable objects that will need repairs in a year, but there will be no money for this in the Sochi budget and they will eventually fall into disrepair in a few years.
