Today I once again attended the “Strategy-31” event, which, according to tradition, took place on Yunost Square.
The main distinguishing feature of this action from all others was that for the first time the Yaroslavl mayor's office met the dissenters halfway and agreed on its implementation. But you shouldn’t be surprised, because the new mayor of Yaroslavl is himself an oppositionist and a participant in white-ribbon rallies.
By the way, maybe that’s why for the first time at the March of Dissent I didn’t see riot police, not even their buses. There were about 6 policemen and two in civilian clothes who stood next to them (most likely Estapo members).
There weren't many people, about 50 people. What was surprising was that not a single one had a white ribbon. It seemed that most of them were representatives of the “Other Russia”. Liberals were in a clear minority.
The speakers shared their impressions of the March of Millions, there were calls to create their own “Magnitsky list” for the Yaroslavl region, to abolish the “E” center...
In my opinion, such shares have no future. Moreover, if the city authorities allow them, looking back at Article 31 of the Constitution. After all, then the whole meaning is lost. Now it’s a different time, the situation in the country and the direction of the protest movement are irreversibly changing. It is finally clear that “Strategy-31” gathers catastrophically few participants, is meaningless in its essence and is not viable in the future.
