Voronezh

Voronezh turned out to be better than I initially thought about it :) True, now, looking through the photographs, I am already beginning to doubt it, but I remember for sure that when I arrived, I was slightly surprised that the city looked quite decent. At least the center itself is not bad. Another thing is that around this center there are a lot of less attractive things.

1. View from the observation deck of the Voronezh River and the reservoir of the same name. To be honest, because of the tree branches the view is so-so. 2. But from the observation deck one could see that if you walk along the bridge over the river, then in the middle of the bridge you can go down and get out onto a breakwater, or something like that. 3. Voronezh is actively being built. Very active. 4. A hellish mixture of new houses, construction sites, wooden houses and churches arises. 5. I was extremely surprised when I found out that Voronezh is a city with a population of one million. 6. Voronezh is one of the main Russian centers of the electronics industry. 7. 8. In Voronezh there is a microdistrict named after something that does not exist - VAI (Voronezh Aviation Institute). They wanted to build it, but the war began. 9. Somewhere here the world's first supersonic transport aircraft, the Tu-144, was built. The first domestic video recorders were also produced in Voronezh. 10. 11. 12. If you leave the very central streets, you find yourself in the old center, where interesting, old buildings intersperse with completely destroyed houses and a universal pichalka. 13. I like to look into courtyards. 14. Devastation, private sector, new building. 15. In Voronezh, a large number of strip bars caught my eye. At least in the center they came across very often. In other cities, other things are more common: in Samara - alcohol shops, in Saratov - advertising "Mix, salt", in Rostov - pawn shops and private trade on the streets. Although, maybe I’m just going somewhere in the wrong place and I got such impressions. 16. And this is also the view from the observation deck :) 17. While walking in Voronezh, I often thought that there must be some pretty interesting Watch games here, and I occasionally came across Watch marks on houses. 18. Annunciation Cathedral Probably, the report may not give the most positive opinion about the city. Here it is worth making allowance for the fact that it was February - at this time of year, very few Russian cities look attractive. And the very center of Voronezh looks more than decent.
