Ben-Galut (Mark Mezhiborsky)
Memory of Sima Steiner
Fallen and living Jews of Kosov
The year forty -first. Autumn Carpathians.
For a long time in the east, the front.
The Germans stand in the city for three months.
And the horizon is hidden with a swastika.
The order is placed. And the city was quiet.
Today, tomorrow and in the future
Jews have no place among the living.
Jews must die.
The Germans are calm. Excesses are not expected.
After all, Juden is a humble people.
Order them - and they will come,
Children, old people and sick will bring.
And the action "peacefully" will pass.
And here on the streets of mournful columns
A heavy tread is heard ...
There is no way out. Because of the dark windows
Help did not come to them.
But maybe someone will save the child?
After all, together for so many years!
Nobody takes Jewish children.
Silence is the whole answer.
And here is the place of action. Dug moat.
On the one hand, a machine gun.
On the other, a ledge is twenty steps.
Hey, Schmutzigen Juden, go!
The Germans are calm. Confident tone.
Jews must undress,
After all, the dead are more difficult to undress later.
Hey! Do not break the "silence"!
Men and women together in a row ...
A number of naked, helpless bodies ...
And viciously the shepherds growl on them,
From the horror of white, like chalk.
Twenty steps on the ledge, nowhere ...
Twenty steps of all life!
Who can forget this and when!
There are no terrible enemies in the world!
At the entrance to the ledge there is an officer.
He is young, pulled and dare.
Here he trains his eye,
Connoor of naked female bodies.
- Come on, girl, two steps forward!
You liked me, her!
I will spend with you all night.
Away, a lousy Jew!
She came up. I got up next. Costs.
The body is whiter than snow.
And in black eyes her joy burns.
Joy is one for all.
She did not cover her nudity.
She nodded slightly.
I measured the moat to the bottom ...
And the hand took off up!
The German head backwards back
Pulling the hair,
My teeth grabbed his throat,
With all the chest, clinging to the uniform!
Everyone froze. The German swinging.
The soldiers did not dare to shoot
In a ball of tel glowed with each other.
They began to separate them.
But hugging the officer tightly like a prize,
She rolled up with him in the moat.
The soldiers jumped down behind them
Right in Jewish blood.
They failed to save the executioner.
He died in their arms.
Scolding angrily and shouting loudly,
They drove their fear.
The battle lasted several days ...
But those who managed to survive,
From the mouth to the mouth was handed over about her,
That with honor she was able to die.
