The word is silver, silence is gold. We all know this proverb. Is it so?
In the yard of the 21st century, and the famous poem by Martin Nimeller “When they came ...” is relevant more than ever.
When the Nazis came for the Communists, I was silent, I am not a communist.
Then they came for the Social Democrats, I was silent, I was not a social democrat.
Then they came for the members of the trade union, I was silent, I was not a member of the trade union.
Then they came for the Jews, I was silent, I am not a Jew.
And then they came for me, and there was no one who could protest.
The Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU) has long been replaced by another “right” party, and it must be consisted, as in the CPSU, for career growth and a good life. You behave correctly, that is, you are silent, and you will receive a good position, you may be awarded the deputies, and paid for (not all deputies on our salary). Or maybe you will become an honorary citizen of the city with a rather big monthly payment. At worst, you will play a "social activist". Well, at least you will receive letters of honor, letters of thanks, what a medal or some other benefits ...
Smell, say silence, say silence ...
I have never been silent and I will not. I have status - man! And if someone wants to have a different status, as a rule, loses this one ... Yes, take your medal, I already have it - conscience.
