Despite all the efforts, in reading the seemingly undeniable facts of history, discrepancies remain. Recently, they again grow more and more often into irreconcilable contradictions. The efforts of politicians and propagandists are actively looking for skeletons in other people's cabinets, but in every possible way hide in their own. To citizens, speaking of the Aesopian language, is inspired: "There are no forests behind the trees."
There are two names: the Second World War and the Great Patriotic War. The terms of the first are obvious and undeniable throughout the world, the beginning of September 1, 1939, the end for the majority - May 1945, although legally precisely - September 1945, when the fighting in the east ended, and the latter from the countries of the axis - imperial Japan. True, with the beginning there are objective discrepancies. Thank God, undeniable. The USSR entered the war not on September 01, but on September 17. Yes, yes, it was on September 17, 1939, and not on June 22, 1941, for many in the USSR and on its borders, world war began! Another thing is that on June 22, 1941 it became popular, scorching most of the regions of the USSR with their grief and destruction. It’s easier with the end. Due to the difference in time zones, the majority in Europe and the world on the watch was on May 8, and the USSR citizens had already occurred on May 9. In Soviet times, the world, or rather the countries participating in the world war, shared this collision, shared according to the political principle - the countries of the Soviet bloc were celebrated on May 9, the rest of May 8.
The celebration took place differently. Somewhere, as well as with the ritual of the celebration of the end of the First World War-this was primarily the commemoration of those who gave their lives freely or not freely on the battlefields or in a more or less remote front-line zone. Alas, the efforts of technological progress in the wars of the twentieth century, it began to cover almost the entire space of continents and ocean spaces. In others, especially after finally in 1965 (after 20 years!), The establishment of a holiday with holidays, not working days in the USSR, it was poured into military parades, proper to demonstrate not so much the military equipment of the war, but military superiority in the modern world. The last trend has been persistently continuing in today's Russia for the past 15 years. This is the best illustration of the spirit of the revival of military hysteria. Another "spiritual scrap" of the country's leadership to the population turned out to be incapable.
Can I do something with this? It seems that without changing the mentality of the country's population and the mood of the leadership, nothing can be changed. Feelings of sorrow and awareness of the monstrousness of any war are replaced by exclamations and salutes. The war continues to be associated with victory, with conquest, and not with grief and loss. That is why the most important parades for the country are, and not loudly proclaimed regularly, but really non -executable and not planned to execute steps to improve the life of very few real war veterans. Budget funds, not to mention the loaned money, could well have enough for at least a year of a serious change in the state of life of the families of veterans, but, I repeat, there is no state task in this. Power is limited to media characters passing with tears of tendency by power from the channel to the channel and from the page to the page of the subject publications. Most of the nameless, real participants in that war at that time continue to eke out a miserable existence, and it is precisely this rigid word - “existence”, and not normal, 70 years after the end of the war, the condition of their life, which was provided, is primarily by the state. You can talk about this endlessly, but I think that you should put an end. Without changes in the country, everything will remain the same.
In the 80s, the power of the USSR was devalued by the concept of a veteran and a participant in that still remaining the most terrible and cruel world war. Veterans were equated in benefits and respect to the participants in the war in Afghanistan. This is not to say that these were the first steps to destroy the symbol of the liberator and the winner. The symbol that at least 8 million direct military losses remained on the battlefields of World War II and officers of the Red Army remained a symbol. Army, which accepted the maximum military load on its shoulders. Power by sending tanks to pacify the desire for the freedom of the peoples of Europe in Budapest 1956, in Prague of 1968, has already discredited the attitude to the symbols of that army. In his native Novocherkassk in 1962, having ordered to shoot at unarmed children, women, workers, communist power, shot the memory of that war. However, the main process of final discredit began precisely with the Afghan advent of the USSR. You can not equate the occupation with release. It happens in propaganda frenzy, but in a sober consciousness of free people - never.
The authorities continued the process of destruction and falsification of the historical memory of history in the growing, propaganda rage of modern desire to prove their greatness. Completed by Vladislav Surkov (when he was deputy head of the administration of the President of the Russian Federation, a supervisor to the domestic policy) or one of his subordinates, the "St. George ribbon"-was one of such discrediting the memory of the Second World War. Why? Let me remind you. Everything is obvious and simple. During the war, Stalin (who led the country and the army), trying to mobilize the peoples of the USSR for the feat of resistance, was forced to abandon many ideological innovations of the first years of Soviet power. The significance of the Russian Orthodox Church and the patriarchate was revived in stages, the orders of the completely non -imperial heroes of Nevsky, Suvorov, Ushakov, Nakhimov were introduced. Enigisures revived. The military uniform acquired the form close to the form of the Russian army of the First World War, but the power did not dare to return the St. George Cross. Perhaps due to the fact that she remembered - how she exterminated the Georgian cavaliers who did not accept its arbitrariness, but most likely not even from historical fears, but from the realities of the current day. Most St. George Cavaliers, still living in the middle of the twentieth century, fought against Bolshevism, i.e. On the side of the armies of the axis countries. There were many of them in the Vlasov army, in other military units, including Cossacks. In contrast to this, even in the biographies of the "Marshals of Victory" in the USSR for many years it was not indicated that some had St. George Crosses for the First World War. That is why, instead of the most honorable and glorious cross of the St. George Cavalier, the Order of Glory was invented, in the ribbon of which the colors of the St. George Cross were used. Come up with the current Russian government "ribbon of glory" would have no problems, but in order to create "fastened" i.e. Falsification of the story of the ribbon was called "St. George." The result is an example, at one of the lectures from a student, an excellent student who speaks freely and the Internet and three European languages, the author of the article heard a statement - “St. George ribbon” - this is a ribbon of the star of the Hero of the Soviet Union - this is how history is composed and inspired. I am afraid to explain how discredited, I’m already finally, the concept of “St. George ribbon” with the use of its symbol with terrorist separatist forces destabilizing the world in the east of Ukraine and in Crimea to those who do not need something. The rest, stupefied propaganda is pointless.
Parades, salute - all this is possible, perhaps even necessary, but without this hysteria the imposed on the country and the world. Without multimillion -dollar expenses from the country's budget, which is far from in the best condition of its economy. You can not arrange "dancing on the bones." We live in the 21st century and it is time to get rid of the rudiments of the primitive state. Even the time of the military parity of deterrence has gone in history - today united Europe has been built. Let it be difficult, but the construction of the world of reason and man continues, not war. Economic wars, not entirely bloodless, but, of course, more humane, replace geographical, bloody. The civilized world in the most part understands this, maybe the largest country and its citizens are time to learn new rules.
PS But how to celebrate? Remember direct victims and even more indirect, civilian, who paid with their lives and health for our lives. Remember these victims, grieve and remember. And be sure not to forget about those politicians who, for the sake of their ideas, led the world to this grief. Remember not to repeat the mistakes.
