Political scientists and sociologists call one of the important results of the Moscow mayor’s electoral campaign that the unsystematic opposition has received official recognition. And not only on the Internet or at numerous rallies, but also in the final protocol of the election commission. On this, experts are convinced, the cycle of the formation of a new opposition force has ended.
The result of Alexei Navalny (as well as the defeat of representatives of the LDPR, the Communist Party and “Fair Russia”) largely changed the arrangement on the political field. The system opposition, controlled by the authorities, which previously performed various tasks, including selected protest activity, now fades into the background.
The 7x7 editors decided to find out the opinions of social activists, human rights activists and bloggers about whether the Moscow scenario in Mari El is possible? Can a new opposition force appear in the region in the near future, which will not compromise with the authorities for the sake of his desires, and not the needs of society. Whether a leader will appear who will take a fundamental position on key problem points and will be able to arouse the desire of some people to demand changes for the better.

Dmitry Egoshin, head of the representative office of the MPO "Committee against torture" in the Republic of Mari El:
- Honestly, I am a little away from politics. But I follow the situation, like any person interested in news. The past elections were interesting in this regard: something constantly happened during the election campaign. I doubt that Navalny is some kind of project. I think that the situation with the elections will change, even if these changes are gradual. But in Mari El, the situation, in my opinion, is ahovaya. There are no strong personalities. Markelov in this regard, if appropriate to say, well done, cleaned the field. There are no bright figures among its opponents yet. Therefore, I am not sure that we have the nearest elections of the head of the republic (will pass, in accordance with the law in 2015 - ed. “ 7x7 ”) will be similar to elections in Moscow and Yekaterinburg.

Sergey Poduzov, co -chair of the ROO "Man and Law" in the Republic of Mari El:
- If there are no serious internal economic and social problems in the country, the situation arose in its “export” in the regions will lead to the creation of a politically competitive environment, but not to the change of elites. Similar to the Moscow, an election campaign in Mari El, unfortunately, is not possible at this stage. Local political and business elite are still monolith and inert. There is also no group of active oppositional people around whom you can consolidate their efforts.

Alexei Gorbunov, deputy of the Yoshkar-Ola city assembly, member of the Central Council of the Fair Russia political party:
- The course and results of the past elections will certainly affect political layouts in the republic. How? It is too early to draw cardinal conclusions. This "match" is not over yet. The main thing is the corridor of opportunities, including in Mari El, expanded somewhat - this is important for which special thanks to all Moscow participants in the electoral process.
A significant number of potential participants in the 7x7 survey from among those who could claim the title of non -systemic or in any case oppositionly, to our surprise, or are not interested in elective practice and news, or they are afraid to advertise their evaluative judgment.

So, a generalized anonymous expert from Mari El ("... do not refer to me - this is just my evaluative expert opinion"):
- Our scenario of the Moscow elections will not pass, unless the authorities are artificially not initiating it. But even in this case, I do not see an organization or a person who can compete not only the ruling grouping, but also formally admitted to the electoral process of the system opposition: the LDPR, “Fair Russia”, the Communist Party and, perhaps, “Yabloko”.
