It turns out that we are still wow, we can get Obama if we want. However, the “flexibility” promised by the President of the United States in the question of the about can mean something else. Namely, that the American president was tired of dealing with the Bushevsky inheritance under the name “Missile Defense”. And he involves to curtail the program after the elections (as Bill Clinton with the Reagan Star Wars did it at one time). If so, then in the future it will pose difficult problems before Russian diplomacy. It will be necessary to again look for a reason for self -affirmation and, at the same time, for a periodic scandal with the Americans.

But so far we are celebrating the victory. After all, Obama's asked phrase was called the Republicans "a betrayal of national interests." And Tearing to the candidates Mitt Romny Sogoryacha called Russia "a geopolitical opponent number one." The locomotive Medvedev reported him completely in vain that, like, it was necessary to think with his head and look at his watch, time, they say, the Cold War has long ended. After all, all the Putin years, Moscow was only engaged in what was playing out of itself this very geopolitical rival. She carefully pretended that relations with the United States are determined by nuclear deterrence. That is, America only does not cause a sudden nuclear blow to Russia that it fears a response and causing unacceptable damage. It is from here that Russian claims are growing regarding the missile defense. It is created, they say, about to get the opportunity to intercept our missiles raised for a response blow.

Acting precisely in this logic, Russia refused to fulfill the contract on ordinary armed forces in Europe, referring to the superiority of NATO in the number of tanks, aircraft and helicopters. At the same time, it turned out that she contrasted herself with the entire North Atlantic Alliance, pretended to be a Warsaw agreement. Finally, what other than rivalry can explain the constant statements that Moscow will not allow the American presence in the republics of Central Asia.

Of course, everyone around me understood: everything is happening for a little, this is not a real confrontation. Russia plays a certain performance, fearing that otherwise Washington will completely forget about its existence. So the teenager is hooligan to assert himself. For the time being, adult uncles - first Bush, then Obama - watched this with condescending grin. All this, they say, are the remnants of the Cold War and the post -Persian breakdown. In the end it will pass. It is only necessary to intelligibly explain that we are not enemies.

But Putin's politics was crowned with a wonderful success. In the United States there were people who agreed that we, like a quarter of a century ago - geopolitical rivals. The case is small. Behind simple republican guys, confident, like Putin, that the world lives according to the laws of the gateway who will come to the White House. It will not seem to anyone a little.
