Yes, for days I visited my grandmother in the city of Uglich of the Yaroslavl region. This small provincial town entered the history of Russia by the fact that the youngest son of Ivan the Terrible died here under unknown circumstances. In Soviet times, Uglich was known thanks to the women's watches that the local hourly factory "Chaika" produced, which closed, like many other enterprises during the time of Putin's "stability".
And so, passing by the building of the former seagull factory, I drew attention to the figure of Lenin, standing on the pedestal. In Soviet times, such were mandatory in all settlements of our country. Almost 22 years have passed since the Soviet Union ceased to exist. Over the years, the country's infrastructure dilapidated, Lenin, in which his hands fell off. Instead of one of them, a stump. The other hand fell off a brush. A sad impression is made by a monument to the leader of the world proletariat, for which no one has looked after these years. Only on the large communist holidays to its pedestal are the right followers of the Bolsheviks bring cloves. Such people are parasitized by modern "red" partyboats who sit in federal and regional legislative assemblies of our country and prefer to buy another car or/and apartment than to give this money to restore rotten Lenins.
For me personally, the rotten figure of Lenin personifies not only the irrevocably departed era, but also the rotten essence of the leaders of Russia, who were once communists and swore the fidelity of the Communist Party, and then betrayed her ideals for the sake of their own greed.
