Interpol Komi does not sleep

According to the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Kazakhstan, on the channels of Interpol, the law enforcement agencies of the Komi Republic today are wanted 16 people. 14 of them are accused and convicted, they must be arrested and extradited, and two are missing. Only from the beginning of this year in Azerbaijan, Ukraine and in the Netherlands, three accused who are on the international wanted list were detained for committing such serious and especially serious crimes as murder, extortion and drug smuggling. Currently, the issue of their extradition to Russia is being resolved. Also, through the channels of Interpol this year, the location of two suspects in the commission of crimes was established in Germany and Cyprus.

Russia became a member of the International Criminal Police of Interpol exactly 20 years ago - September 27, 2010. Ten years ago, in May 2000, a branch of Interpol was created in Komi. Only three employees work in it. Meanwhile, the branch exchange information with more than forty countries - Interpol members. These people work especially actively with the law enforcement agencies of Germany, Lithuania, Latvia, Belgium, Italy, the Netherlands, Cyprus, Canada, USA, Uzbekistan, Ukraine.

Interpol Komi is engaged not only in the search for criminals, but also searches for the missing and having lost touch with relatives. This year, for example, in Lithuania, the whereabouts of two citizens who were lost by their relatives were established.
