With participants in the second Syktyvkar Barkemp, public activist Viktor Vorobyov shared the experience of student self -organization.

Victor talked about how in 2010-11, students of St. Petersburg State University announced a boycott of the university dining room, due to the fact that its new tenant unreasonably overstated the prices of food. Repeatedly students organized protests and deployed their field cuisine right on the territory of the university. The leadership of the university had to constantly answer uncomfortable press questions and negotiate with the tenant of the dining room to reduce prices. Then, among students, a structure was formed, which began to be responsible for the rights of students, since the student trade union did not justify itself: according to Vorobyov, the members of this trade union were afraid to take up acute problems so as not to conflict with the leadership of the university.
In the new human rights structure there was no one leader, several advisers in various directions dealt with all issues, and the decision was made collegial.

- All this developed until the university administration was fed up, and it was forced to create its own similar structures, but not a trade union. Then the student parliament officially appeared and the Studs councils began to participate in the elections, after which they became their own party for the university.
Viktor Vorobyov called several successful initiatives of his student council, which managed to realize: a decrease in the cost of living in a hostel and a revision of tariffs for Internet providers. All this later led to the creation of the All -Russian Student Union, which began to deal with the problems of students throughout the country.

Viktor Vorobyov plans to launch a new human rights Internet project with the working name "Roosnoes", by analogy with the projects of Alexei Navalny. Thanks to the project, Viktor Vorobyov hopes, students will be able to get real legal recipes for solving their problems.
