
The issues of preparation and celebration of the 95th anniversary of the formation of the Komsomol in the Arkhangelsk region were discussed at a meeting of the organizing committee under the leadership of the Deputy Governor for Regional Policy Sergei Kovalev.
On October 29, 2013 marks the 95th anniversary of the creation of a Komsomol, who played an important role in the history of the Soviet state, in the education of children and youth in the spirit of patriotism, citizenship, internationalism, and training future personnel for the country's socio-economic sphere. As Sergey Kovalev noted, millions of young people were held by the Komsomol school, many of whom, having become veterans of the Komsomol, continue to work for the benefit of Russia and the region today.
“We are obliged to recall our Komsomol, tell young people about how we lived and how we planned our future,” the deputy governor emphasized.
As the co -chair of the organizing committee, Associate Professor Safo, veteran of the Komsomol Svetlana Koval explained, the main goals of preparing and celebrating the anniversary are the preservation of historical memory, the development of the continuity of generations, the education of patriotism among young people.
In accordance with the order of the Governor of the Arkhangelsk Region, Igor Orlov, the composition of the organizational committee was approved, which included veterans of the Komsomol, representatives of the regional government and the City Hall of Arkhangelsk, deputies of the State Duma and the Regional Assembly, SAFU, Veteran and Youth Public Organizations. At a meeting of the organizing committee, a plan of anniversary events was discussed.
