| The outcome of the Suproliga basketball group tournament turned out to be favorable for the CSKA basketball players. The fight was for one of the two first places, which guaranteed home-court advantage at the playoff stage. And this gives good prospects for reaching the Final Four, which, by the way, the army team has not played in since 1996.
The task for the final match in Croatia against Kroatia became significantly easier after the sensational defeat of the Turkish Ulker at home to the modest Lietuvos Ritos. After that, it was important for Valery Tikhonenko’s team not to lose by more than 9 points. The Muscovites eventually lost - 72:75, but they controlled the course of the match quite confidently and did not allow the score to approach the critical mark.
Now on March 27, CSKA will play in the 1/8 finals in Moscow with the Belgian Oostende. The return match is in Belgium on March 29, the third (if necessary) is on April 5 again in Moscow. The remaining pairs will be played by Panathinaikos - KRKA, Iraklis - Alba, Efes Pilsen - Lietuvos Ritos, Kroatia - Pau-Ortez, Maccabi (T-A) - "Shlensk", "Ulker" - "Scavolini", "Partizan" - "Villeurbanne".
