Directors Guild Awards

The guild of the directors of America again handed its awards. Helen Mirren, Claire Deins, Leonardo DiCaprio, Colin Ferte, Helena Bonham Carter, Klint Eastwood, Kevin Spacey, Natalie Portman with Darren Aronofsky posed on the red carpet. Darren failed to get the main prize for the film "Black Swan". Tom Hooper went around him (“The King says!”). And this means that it is highly likely that Tom will receive the main film award: usually the Oscar is received by the same person who became the “best director” according to the “guild” - in the entire history of these premiums there were no coincidence only a few times.

Among the other winners were Martin Scorsese (“The Best Director of the Dramatic series” for the “Underground Empire”), Michael Spieller (“Best Director of the Comedy series” for the “American Family”), Mick Jackson (“The Best Director of the Mini-series or film for TV” for Temple Grandin), Charles Ferguson (“Best Director of Documentary film ") and others.
