An unprecedented case of hostage-taking and the subsequent escape of a terrorist occurred yesterday in Vladikavkaz (North Ossetia). The criminal not only managed to escape, but also took with him 2 million rubles. At about three o'clock in the afternoon, a young man broke into the premises of a children's clinic on Pushkinskaya Street. Threatening with two F-1 grenades, he declared 18 people hostage, including four children, and demanded $5 million for their release. In addition, the terrorist told authorities that if his demands were not met, he would blow up a nine-story residential building and kill all the hostages. After negotiations, the criminal himself left the clinic building and surrendered to the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of North Ossetia, Vladimir Rubaev. Together with him, the terrorist got into the car, where there were 2 million rubles intended for the ransom of hostages. It is still unclear what exactly happened in the car, but the criminal managed to throw out a law enforcement representative and escape, taking the money.
