Oleg Lundstrem's big band celebrates its 70th anniversary! The orchestra is listed in the Guinness Book of Records as the world's oldest continuously operating jazz orchestra—even the legendary Count Basie Orchestra is a year younger than Lundström's. The role of the orchestra and its permanent leader for the Russian jazz scene is difficult to overestimate. The Lundström Orchestra is a whole school in which many generations of jazzmen were educated. Today, together with soloists Irina Otieva (vocals), Ivan Volkov (clarinet), Boris Andrianov (cello) and the Moscow-Transit vocal quartet, the orchestra will play jazz classics and original works by O. Lundstrem, G. Garanyan, I. Dunaevsky. Great Hall of the Conservatory , 19.00.
