It is difficult to imagine a modern bathroom in which there is no mixer. It happens, of course, that you have to wash a mug from a basin, but this is in cases where in the house there is no hot water for technical reasons.
Today, the mixer is not only a matter of first necessity, but an element of design and even luxury. The plumbing market is regularly updated by this type of product, offering us new designs that differ in material, design and price.
No matter how beautiful the mixer is, it should not cause difficulties in using even in a small child, and the shower shower switching system should work with the lowest effort application.

The most popular today are two -wound mixers , which we have long been accustomed to. With a certain dexterity, they allow you to very accurately set the optimum water temperature. In some cheap constructions, the following effect is found: you turn on the water, and the stream spontaneously begins to decrease. Or the hands of the valves have such a shape that it is impossible to turn them with soapy hands (hands glide).
As a control valve, in two -wound structures, rubber gaskets or ceramic discs are used. The former are not critical of water, where large particles and impurities are present, the latter can be damaged from such water. But if filters are installed in the tap system, then ceramic discs will last incomparably long.

A single -leaf mixer is a spout with one handle, which provides adjustment of the pressure of the jet and the temperature with a vertical and horizontal movement. Such mixers are very convenient to operate, but do not tolerate gross treatment. The rigidity of their fastening can be violated if you strongly pull the handle to failure. A special cartridge is used as a shut -off valve, the replacement of which can be expensive, so it should be purchased by a single -leaf mixer from a trusted manufacturer.
The thermostat is a mixer equipped with a control system. It can be either electro-mechanical and electronic with buttons and an indicator. There are two handles in simple structures. One is designed to adjust the jet, the other is temperature. In more expensive models, settings are set at will and are preserved in the memory of the device. In such mixers, you can set the desired temperature and pressure of the jet for washing in advance. At the same time, the protective function allows you to turn off the water when an undesirable temperature threshold is reached, so as not to burn and not overcool.
The shower mixer takes up less space, because It does not have surplus and a valve of shower cran, so it is convenient to use it in showers.
The bath mixer always has a low spout, which can be either fixed and rotary. The jet adjustment mechanism is a traditional two -wound or single -rod.
The bidet mixer is installed on the side and often has one hole. Options with three holes are equipped with a special aerator changing the direction of the jet.
In the production of mixers, brass or chrome that is not amenable to corrosion is mainly used. The most durable are chromium models. But there are also mixed options, for example, brass, covered with nickel or enamel.
