Governor of the Penza region Vasily Bochkarev proposes to deprive civil servants of offices with blank walls, separating their workspaces with glass partitions.
“Let’s make ministries with transparent offices. The minister is behind a glass partition, his subordinates are also visible. There will be real transparency in the work, otherwise they will close themselves in their offices and it is unclear what they are doing,” V. Bochkarev said at a weekly operational meeting in the regional government on Monday .
The worse things are in the country, the more all sorts of bosses are gushing with different ideas. Transparent partitions are, of course, a powerful spectacle for the strong-willed. I wonder if the governor himself is also ready to sit in the aquarium or just wanted to add some variety to his routine life?
How healthy is it to have your own serpentarium, to observe its inhabitants, and your fellow governors will be jealous. But the population is neither hot nor cold from this harmless idiocy; it has long been living behind glass in the gloomy world of a large aquarium.
