As Gazeta.ru reports, the day before, a 15-year-old excellent student, armed with a rifle and carbine, went to school No. 263 in Moscow. Threatening the guard, he entered the classroom with the children. Before being detained, the teenager managed to shoot 11 times. As a result, a geography teacher and a policeman were killed, and another law enforcement officer was wounded. A criminal case has been opened under articles of “murder” and “hostage-taking”. After the emergency, the prosecutor’s office will check the legality of contracts for the security of capital’s schools and the conditions for their implementation.

“For quite a long time we have been watching in the news that such things are happening in the USA, but this will not happen here. In the age of television and the Internet, we cannot isolate ourselves from this. The problem is primarily in the upbringing, minds, and work of professionals: teachers and psychologists , parents. As a professional and a parent, I can say that our security is not all right,” said deputy Igor Morozov at a meeting of the City Duma.

According to the deputy, emergency measures need to be taken now.

“As long as we are selling security through tenders, enterprises with a level of training of people below average will enter. Because there is only one criterion - price. I would like to appeal to school directors, look who ensures security in educational institutions,” added Igor Morozov.
