THEATERS
“The Potudan River” by A. Platonov. Directed by Sergei Zhenovach. Starring Sergei Kachanov, Alexander Lutoshkin, Maria Shashlova and Andrey Shibarshin. There is no grief in this performance - that unbearable intensity of Platonic despair, that misfortune in the thick solution of which his heroes always live. We hear about hunger, typhus, deaths, we see how Nikita rushes about, out of love and pity for his wife, not having the strength to love her with carnal love, how sadly he falls, biting his fist so as not to sob, when he hears Lyuba’s quiet cry. But all this does not seem like a real disaster, because there is hope. And the intonation of this “Potudan” remains in the audience’s memory for a long time - quiet, serious and touchingly pure. Premiere. "Theatrical Art Studio" , 19.00.
“The Tale of the Ardennes Forest” by Y. Kim. A musical performance in two parts based on the outline of William Shakespeare's play “As You Like It.” Open rehearsal of the theater trainee group. Directed by Pyotr Fomenko. Starring Oleg Niryan, Naja Mayor, Nikita Tyunin, Monica Santoro, Ivan Vakulenko, Yuri Butorin, Ivan Popovski, Vera Strokova. A lively, witty, not at all outdated play, which appeared in 1968, was once banned, then staged again and now presented in the third version. “Workshop of Pyotr Fomenko” , 19.00.
“The Queen of Spades” by P. Tchaikovsky. Directed by V. Fokin. Conductor M. Pletnev. The roles are performed by Roman Muravitsky, Elena Obraztsova, Pavel Chernykh, Andrey Breus, Vyacheslav Voinarovsky and others. Bolshoi Theater , as part of the Golden Mask festival, 19.00.
MOVIE
Les Boys I and Les Boys II (Canada, 1998). Directed by Louis Sailla. Starring Pierre Lebeau, Remy Girard, Serge Theriault, Marc Monsier, Michel Barrett, Paul Houdet, Luc Guerin, Patrick Labé, Patrick Huard. Every Monday, 13 guys - players of a local amateur team - get together to play hockey. There is a policeman, a dropout doctor, a mechanic, an unemployed hockey quiz lover, a slick real estate agent and other interesting characters. After the game, they head to Stan's Bar, whose owner is both the team's coach and sponsor. Perhaps he recruited a team just so that the bar would have regular customers on Mondays. A hardened gambler, Stan is in debt to a local mob boss and offers to bet his bar and play it in a match between Les Boys and a gang of mobsters. “35 MM” , as part of the festival “Days of Francophonie in Moscow”, 19.00 and 21.00.
"The Tomboys from Timpelbach" (France, 2008). Directed by Nicolas Bari. Starring Gérard Depardieu, Carole Bouquet, Raphaël Katz, Léo Legrand, Baptiste Betulo, Martin Jaubert, Lola Creton, Léo Paget and François Domien. In the conventional European town of Timpelbach, the children completely got out of hand, so the adults, completely distraught from the antics of the youngsters, got together and unanimously left their permanent place of residence, leaving the brats to their own devices. Quite soon, a split occurs in the children's state... To the four scriptwriters listed in the credits, it would be fair to add S.V. Mikhalkov (whose "Feast of Disobedience" was used absolutely shamelessly) and William Golding - "Lord of the Flies" was also used to the fullest, without pigs' heads and cruelty, but quite obviously. Looking at all this, however, is quite interesting. “Five Stars” 11.00, 12.50, “Youth” 10.00, 12.00, 14.00, “Cinema Star “Yerevan Plaza”” 12.05, 15.55, “Formula Cinema Europe” 10.20, 14.20, 16.20, “Art” 9.40, 16.10, 19.20, “Centralfilm on Shchelkovskaya” 13.40, 17.45.
