The owner of the Gohar kebab complex plans to independently demolish 12 unauthorized buildings, but the bailiffs have not yet received documents from the plaintiff, the chief bailiff of the region, Vladislav Skorik, said at a press conference today.
According to the head of the department, the owner of Gohar said at a personal reception that an agreement had been reached between him and the mayor’s office that the entrepreneur would independently demolish the illegal buildings.
“According to him, an agreement was reached that he himself would dismantle all these 12 objects in a more humane way, put the sites in order, and then the mayor’s office would put the sites up for auction. But we do not have a statement from the plaintiff that we should not work, so we will soon announce a competition for demolition,” Skorik said at a press conference at the RIA Novosti media center.
The chief Tomsk bailiff noted that the central office of the bailiff service did not approve the allocation of 2.5 million rubles from the federal budget for the demolition of illegal buildings of the kebab complex. Regional bailiffs received only a fifth of the requested amount.
“Moscow said: squeeze in, look for some other options. We have now been allocated 500 thousand rubles, so we are announcing a competition. And if the builder undertakes to demolish it for this money, then this will happen... But I do not exclude the possibility that some kind of amicable agreement will be reached,” the bailiff clarified.
Let us remind you that the court decision to demolish more than a dozen illegal buildings of the kebab complex was made back in January 2013. According to the court's decision, "Gohar" will lose its zoo, summer veranda, fountains and toilet. The owner of the Gohar kebab shop, Shavash Tachatyan, earlier, commenting on the situation, said that he “ would not raise his hand to fulfill the will of the court.”
Many Tomsk residents reacted negatively to the demolition of the zoo and cafe. The collection of signatures in support of "Gohar" began among the townspeople. City deputies also spoke in favor of preserving the complex. “He brought so much land there, filled up the ravine, and made this place beautiful. Let’s consider the issue of leasing this land to him,” said MP Sevak Ispiryan.
