In all this anti-gay hysteria, one simple question haunts me: what do our noble gays think about state homophobia?
Gays are employees of the presidential administration; gays - employees of the Russian government; gay deputies of the State Duma; gay workers of the St. Petersburg City Hall and Legislative Assembly; gays - police officers, prosecutors and FSB agents; gays are judges.
You all exist. And there are many of you. Is it really so difficult to understand that in a homophobic society, each of you, as soon as necessary, can be accused of not having sex the right way, and you can tell (or show) exactly how you have sex.
And most importantly, you cannot say anything in your own defense. You will never be able to go to the podium of parliament, government, Cathedral Square, in the end, and simply answer: “I'm Gay and It's OK!” - and then smile and continue working in the administration, government or Duma.
Gays are a very friendly and united community. Why are you not in solidarity? No one expects you to come out or walk around with pink triangles, but you can quietly, as best you know how, put the brakes on these ridiculous initiatives and all this nonsense in general.
Do this, if not for yourself, then for those gays and lesbians whom no one but you can help now.
