IS THIS A REVOLUTION?
At first, blindly, it seemed to me.
Because it’s been a long time since our people went anywhere and were not indignant at anything in such numbers.
Then I thought it was the dust jacket of the revolution. Because in reality there can be two options in Russia: either the continuation of the August revolution, unfinished - because the Soviet paternalistic economic structures were not completely broken; because full-fledged democracy with parliamentarism and normal presidential power did not take place; The institutions of a free society did not work, and this society itself was not constituted; it did not break away from the “maternal breasts” of socialism.
In order for the August revolution to continue, there must be a very serious message here, here business must finally rebel - against its oppressed role, against its position. This must be a revolution of the third estate - these are precisely the people who need freedom, who need the Western choice.
Not while we are watching their flight to the West.
The second version of the revolution, much more dangerous, terrible, and undesirable for us, is a continuation of 1993. This is when people like Makashov, Rutskoi, Barkashov are like the darkest forces, red-brown, who cooperate well. Now there is Ivashov, and Thor, and Zyuganov, and Udaltsov - the whole company is again, and again side by side. Now, the continuation of such a revolution is a very terrible thing. But judging by the ratings, I don’t see this yet. Because, after all, some people have something - at least their own apartment, donated by Yeltsin and Gaidar, everyone, even a very angry city dweller. And they will think twice about it. Moreover, the revolutionaries, right out of the gate, promise a civil war. Like Udaltsov - the next day.
But the Democrats do not guarantee anything, they do not offer protection from their allies, they simply say “let’s overthrow Putin, and then we will fight.” This is also a very innovative proposal.
But, thanks to the efforts of our democratic friends, and the legitimation of the red-brown forces, and the reddening of the State Duma, and all regional Legislative Assemblies, I am afraid that the version of ’93 is closer to us than the continuation of the revolution of ’91.
