The head of the corporation, Steve Jobs, brought the new Apple product to a special presentation at Macworld 2008, held in San Francisco, in an envelope. Inside was a laptop - ultra-thin and ultra-portable, as Apple describes it. The thickness of the computer, called MacBook Air, is only 19.3 mm and weighs just over a kilogram. Sales of the MacBook Air in the US will begin in two weeks, and its base price will be $1,799 (excluding sales tax). However, as you know, Apple often reduces prices on its new products quite quickly. Jobs also presented at the presentation new features of the iTunes online store, thanks to which users will be able not to buy video files at all, but to purchase them for a limited period - this will cost less. Apple investors, however, assessed the company's new products harshly. Apple shares fell nearly 5.5% yesterday, nearly doubling the overall market decline.
