The Government of the Russian Federation is going to extend the state program for the disposal of auto -chlot until the end of 2011 - in the near future, another 5 billion rubles should be allocated for it, Kommersant reports with reference to its sources. The main lobbyist of the extension was AvtoVAZ, the sales of which are strongly dependent on the program, even against the backdrop of the restoration of the car market.
The decision to extend the recycling program is fundamentally already made - the only question is when Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will give the relevant order to the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Industry and Trade. It is expected that all the necessary instructions and documents will be executed by the end of spring. More than others in the extension of the stimulating state program are interested in AvtoVAZ. It is he who sells the most cars as part of this program - about half of Lada (37.5 thousand cars were sold for February), while in the sale of foreign cars, disposal does not take more than 5-7%.
We are already talking about the third recycling program - the most effective sales support measure in the Russian car market. The program started in March 2010, it involves the issuance of a discount of 50 thousand rubles for the purchase of a new car to the owner of an old car (older than ten years), put into util. The program has already issued 495 thousand discount vouchers from the planned 500 thousand, in fact 365 thousand cars were sold. The second stage of the recycling program should end by the end of April.
As previously reported, the program rules in the future may change. The Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation proposed to assign responsibility for the disposal of old cars on the manufacturer. If the new scheme is approved, then manufacturers can shift additional costs to buyers. Experts predict a possible increase in cars for cars from $ 100 and above.
