They keep asking me when and when?
I am not a barometer with a thermometer or any other device at a weather site. Still, in this situation, I am more of a meteorologist myself. Although I had one meteorologist friend who predicted the weather better than any instrument using his own lower back. But even it did not occur to him to include the readings of the morning sciatica in the report.
But based on the instrument readings, you can try to figure it out yourself. And give yourself an answer to the question, how long will Putin last in accordance with these testimonies? Five, ten, thirty, God grant him a thousand years of life?
And now we have more than enough instruments. There's something else that's interesting here. The completely bedraggled “people without faces” suddenly begin to try to speak in a language that seems to be moral. Again, I’ll do without a list, but here’s one of the most characteristic ones, the same Koch, for example.
Do you think his nobility of soul rose up and his conscience awoke? It’s possible, of course, but you can consider me a completely spoiled person, I have some doubts. And I suspect that, most likely, instinct worked. In creatures of this kind it is extremely developed. It’s not for nothing that they are sometimes called so directly, living devices. So, this same Koch. Who, it seems, has no chance of clearing the crap from their face, even if you scrape it with a brick. But he’s also trying, go away, he says, Vladimir Vladimirovich, in an amicable way, don’t make a mistake.
Radzikhovsky went to the rally, the man in his nineties whom I mentioned. Kandelaki. Actually a song. I say “for”, but I am “for” for the very last time. And the great fighter for freedom and democracy Bozena Rynska? “I don’t think about you at all.” This is not shocking. Shocking is the first part - “I don’t care what you think about me.” Because what people think about her, it is capitalized. But she “doesn’t think” completely sincerely, because it’s free. But he feels extremely subtly. And who ate whose meat, and where it smells fried.
Dmitry Oreshkin: “Bad things. There is no clear way out either for Putin personally or, what is much more important, for Russia. We built and built, and finally we built it. We've finished the game, assholes."
Oreshkin’s nerves couldn’t stand it! And you can’t even imagine what kind of nerves there are. It's not even ropes. This is a system of gears made of a particularly hard alloy, like in ancient adding machines. The system didn't work. The adding machine is broken. He broke down and instead of the usual result in the form of a column of numbers, he gave a single, but no less accurate than all his past calculations: “Goats!”
The question never occurred to anyone, where did all of a sudden this unexpected hysteria come from out of nowhere? After all, nothing, absolutely nothing fundamentally new happened, and people who coexisted normally all these years and sluggishly exchanged opinions suddenly began to scatter, squealing at each other, perhaps not very far, but more and more clearly in completely different directions? But in fact, everything is very simple. I hope this is clear to everyone, that the recent “elections” to some kind of “Duma”, which were no different from the previous ones and in style from anything else around them, have absolutely nothing to do with it.
Everything that Putin has done so far can be viewed in any way and from any angle. But personally, I, naturally, without imposing my opinion on anyone, no matter how I criticize Putin and his behavior, and I perceive and evaluate all this, albeit as mistakes, sometimes even terrible and fatal mistakes that led to human casualties, but still within the framework ordinary criminality, which in the post of the head of such a state and at such a time fits into my understanding, albeit extremely expanded, but of the norm. But his accession to the throne for the fourth time, in fact, and his accession, for me, undoubtedly, forever, is already a crime. And before humanity and before humanity. Completely regardless of what he will do next and, especially, say.
Polarization occurred precisely because if before the fourth term there could have been at least some formal excuses, then from the day of accession to the throne, all those who mumble and mumble become direct accomplices in the crime without any reservations. Even the very last reserve, Venediktov, was thrown into the battle. The answer, he says, to those who were at Bolotnaya, is the upcoming gubernatorial elections and video cameras at polling stations. And it carries something similar at the same time that the answer was obvious and additionally pronounced by Putin without any possibility of interpretation: “You are all paid for condoms.” And after this, immediately and on deliberately mocking grounds, Limonov, Ivashov and Mironov were removed from the elections. Well, and as the last cherry on top of the cake - Pushkov is the head of international relations in parliament
Putin doesn’t even understand that it was not he who drove us into the ass, but dragged us into the hemorrhoidal anus, which threatens with terrible bleeding, along with him. He doesn't understand anything at all. Very smart.
Yuri Geiko, in my opinion, is a decent and moral person. He wrote in Novaya Gazeta about how he was first invited to ask Putin a question on TV. And then, when they found out exactly what the question was, “in the evening, a person called me... A person to whom I owe a very, very much, who helped me very, very much in my life.” And this man asked Yuri to abandon his question. “I couldn’t let down a man who once did a lot for me.”
In general, the story is long and confusing, I have retold it very briefly, those who wish can see the details for themselves. But the point is not in these details. In any case, it raises many puzzling questions. And, first of all, what does this have to do with some person to whom Geiko has obligations. Everyone has similar people in their destiny, but they pay off these kinds of obligations in a completely different way and manner. That this man would have been threatened with prison or, in principle, some serious troubles, if a person completely beyond his control and a stranger of Yuri Geiko’s level and reputation had refused to fulfill his request. Yes, some kind of nonsense and complete nonsense.
But that's not even the point. You promised a person you respect so much not to ask this question to Putin, so why are you asking it, not even through your website or through a leaflet in the entrance, but through a fairly popular all-Russian newspaper? Or was the request limited only to television, and was given complete freedom in everything else? Well, in short, complete insanity. But it was precisely in this insanity that the most characteristic feature of today was manifested.
Here is this red line crawling along the ground, creeping up to everyone’s feet and forcing them to choose - are you on that side or on that? For now it's just a thin strip. And you can jump, here, here, try it on, but how will I feel here? And here? What will happen to me for this? And what will this threaten me with? While they are jumping. But the majority understands that in the very near future a crack will pass along this line, and it will continue to expand and turn into an abyss, and very likely it may fill with blood, then you won’t jump anymore, then you will remain forever on the other side, which I chose.
And here it should be noted that Geiko was one of the first to formulate this so clearly and clearly in his definition of Putin: “He is absolutely confident in his previous eleven-year infallibility and in his March victory. And that is why he is scary and dangerous. He is inadequate. He is capable of drawing blood."
So, is it complete hopelessness and it’s time to glue the fins together? Well, why stick it together like that...
Firstly, I said that there are no objective and calculable options. And this is generally not the rarest case. It is for him that the Russian God exists. As, by the way, Russian devils exist for the same case, but let’s forget, we’ve already talked about so much bad stuff. There are many simpler and even quite rational things, however, not so great things. Ordinary accidents, for example. I won’t croak, I have a dark, bad eye, and a nasty tongue, so I won’t take it upon myself and I won’t even stutter about any accidents, such as a plane crash or any other type of Putin’s premature death. But there are other stories like... Okay, I’m too lazy to continue fantasizing, come up with something yourself. I'll move on to the next point for now.
Secondly, although we estimated that there are not very many chances for this, theoretically there are chances that the country in a frozen state will last for however many years, twenty, thirty, until Putin’s natural death. True, then a mess and a showdown without any options will begin, not weak in any case, but that will be a completely different story.
And finally, thirdly, the most important thing. Why are we twitching like that - riot, blood... How can we not live in Russia? What, we never had riots and blood? Moreover, the conditions we have now are not at all the same as before, the borders are open, the development of the transport system has reached an unprecedented level, many people have accumulated some money, there’s definitely enough for a One Way ticket, and how many cars per capita , so whoever wants to, may well have time to disappear...
...And then, on the ruins of autocracy, the bright spring of humanity in one particular country will come to those who will probably remain not the best and kindest, not the smartest or even the most cunning, but simply the luckiest. Mine. A system will be invented that provides for the inevitability of automatic replacement of power. In fact, already now many, if not the overwhelming majority of sane people, understand this very well. This was most clearly formulated by Maria Gaidar with her calls for “changes in the political system,” that is, the introduction of relevant articles into the Constitution.
But it's not just about the Constitution. It can be rewritten back and forth. However, even in the best scenario, if everything starts to work, and there is turnover, and it is possible to provide for almost everything in the legislation, then, naturally, the ideal will not work out. Regular changes in leadership have their own and very serious problems, primarily technically of a bureaucratic nature. But by striving for a complete ideal, as well as by bringing any idea to the point of insanity, which, in principle, is the same thing, you can ruin anything. So, we’ll leave this alone for now, so as not to get lost and go for a walk completely to the side.
I got the impression that I said everything I wanted. I hope I managed to infect readers with my optimism. And confidence.
I don’t shout, I don’t prophesy, I don’t predict and I don’t even calculate, as usual. I'm just telling you how it will be. I do this solely to clear my conscience and, honestly, without the slightest interest in anyone’s opinion on this topic. It's just my word against yours. I use it while I still have the opportunity. Because then only yours will remain and it is with him that we will live. To those who will survive.
And everything will repeat as before. Night, icy ripples of the canal, pharmacy, street...
And, of course, a flashlight. For some reason it seems to me that it’s still a lantern.
