EXHIBITIONS
Andreas Gursky. The exhibition of the famous German photographer is one of the most significant events of the Moscow Photobiennale. Gursky’s photographs delight in both the perfectionism of their execution and their inability to fit into everyday visual experience. Thanks to the methods developed by Gursky using the latest digital technologies, the eye glides over the surface of the photograph without penetrating into the depths. He literally touches the surface of things, forms, objects. The eye is perplexed, at the same time in admiration for such excessive generosity towards him. Cultural Foundation "Ekaterina" , until May 19.
Otar Ioseliani. “The basis for the exhibition in the Nashchokin House will become the storyboards of my films. I have quite a lot of them in my archive. These are drawings from different years. They will be exhibiting for the first time! Plus, we prepared photographs of working moments and found old movie posters. I would like this exhibition to tell about how cinema is made, from what a film is born. I’m glad to invite everyone who is interested,” said the director. Nashchokin House , until May 11.
"Magnum". The Magnum Zone project, dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Magnum Photos agency, includes exhibitions by Harry Gruyer “Shores”, Georgy Pinkhasov “As if Light”, Guy Le Querrec “Jazz - from J to Z”, Liz Sarfati "New Life" and Alex Webb "Color: The Suffering of Light."
