Michelle Penneman, Belgian designer. A graduate of the Faculty of Architecture of the Saint-Luke Institute in Brussels, founder of the Détrois SA architectural graphics studio.
My acquaintance with the American legislator for color - Pantone began eight years ago: at the exhibition in Brussels, I bought an orange bag with the inscription Pantone. And a few years later, the British brothers Haim , having secured the support of the same Pantone, decided to open the world's first hotel in their style. The design was offered to make me, and I enthusiastically agreed.

In a few months, we turned the gray seven-story building of the 70s into a rainbow hotel in which each floor corresponds to one of the seven Pantone color palette: blue, green, purple, yellow, orange, red, brown . The gradation of the shades varies from the Pantone 298 C to the Pantone 478 C. And each of the 59 numbers has its own name-“Freshness”, “Calm”, “Courage”, “Fun”.

The Pantone Hotel conducts color therapy seminars, master classes for decorators and art exhibitions. In the library - only books about color. The restaurant offer bright foods, a highlight - cakes with multi -colored cream from fuchsia to ultramarine. There is a boutique in the lobby where you can purchase colored products with a label Rantone.

I considered the hotel space as an impeccable white canvas on which you need to place bright and bold accents. Against the background of the whiteness of the walls, with juicy flashes, he arranged decor items, textiles, non -standard furniture, dishes and colorful works of the photographer Victor Levy. Strict minimalism dominates the bright interior, but with the perfect thoughtfulness of details : all the accessories of the numbers - from the key to bath accessories correspond to the color of the floor. To easily update the interior according to the rapidly changing fashion for color, bright panels on the walls have a magnet behind.

Each guest can choose a shade shade that will suit his character and mood. A psychologist-consultant at the hotel will help to decide on color preference to guests. If the guest who settled on the green floor will want to change herbal color to pistachio, then for the flower deck they will quickly conjure the number for his desire. Guests, tired of colorful impressions, can climb the roof of the hotel, and admire Brussels on an open terrace.

Rantone Hotel is located at: 1 Place Loix, 1060 Brussels, Belgium. The cost of numbers is from 59 to 89 euros per night
