Today in the Shegarsky district on Rodnikovo Lake a jig fishing tournament “People's Fishing” took place. As the organizers of the competition, the Tomsk Oblohot Society, previously reported, more than 600 people wished to take part in the People's Fishing. According to tournament participant Galina, there were indeed a lot of fishermen.

As Galina told the TV2 news agency, a record catch did not happen during the competition; the weather was a letdown. Due to the sudden change in temperature, the pressure changed and the fish “walked” reluctantly. The winner of the tournament, whose catch turned out to be the richest, caught just under 1.5 kg - 42 fish.

Galina herself took 3rd place among women. Her catch is 2 fish in 3 hours.

In addition to the competition, the tournament participants celebrated Maslenitsa. Maslenitsa games were organized on the site - tug of war and crossbar fights. Instead of a Maslenitsa effigy, the organizers burned illegal fishing nets.
