MOVIE
“Melody for a barrel organ” (Ukraine - Russia, 2009). Directed by Kira Muratova. Starring Lena Kosyuk, Roma Burlaka, Nina Ruslanova, Oleg Tabakov, Renata Litvinova, Georgy Deliev, Jean Daniel, Yuri Nevgamony and Philip Panov. A heretical “Christmas carol” that penetrates to the marrow of the bones in the traditional (but this time concentrated in frightening proportions) Murat’s spirit - which, in terms of re-examination, arranged for “this planet”, has once again failed. After two and a half hours of adventures of two restless little ones in a pre-holiday city, it is quite difficult to treat Christmas Eve the same way, and all Hamlet’s throwings (Muratova has already been sarcastically mentioned more than once) seem like mere trifles compared to the main question of our time: “Are these cucumbers pickled or salted? » “Europe” 1.15, “Pioneer” 19.40, “Roland” 19.10.
“How I spent this summer” (Russia, 2010). Directed by Alexey Popogrebsky. Starring Sergei Puskepalis, Grigory Dobrygin. The head of the polar station, Sergei, and the young intern Pavel, are alone at a weather station in the Arctic Ocean. Their watch is coming to an end. The only channel of communication with the world is unstable radio communication with the central base. In Sergei's absence, a message arrives that Pavel simply does not know what to do with. He hopes that a ship will soon come for them and then everything will be resolved by itself... Three awards at the Berlin Film Festival - for both actors and the cameraman. “Europe” 20.00, “Five Stars on Novokuznetskaya” 17.50, “Pioneer” 17.20, 1.00, “Boomerang in Teply Stan” 17.40, 22.40.

A philosophical-futuristic melodrama from director van Dormel, who made the last of his already infrequent films 13 years ago. In 2092, 120-year-old Nemo Nobody wakes up from suspended animation, discovers that he is the last mortal on the planet, and is forced to indulge in memories of what he has lived and what has not come true. “Cinema Center on Krasnaya Presnya” 13.45, 18.00, 20.35, “Art” 18.35, 21.00, “Europe” 17.45, 20.30, 23.15, “Five Stars on Novokuznetskaya” 20.55.
EXHIBITIONS
In Memoriam. The exhibition is a dedication of contemporary artists to their idols, who in turn were themselves inspired by the art of the past, like Alexander McQueen’s phantasmagoric allusions to 16th-century fashion or the paintings of Tamara de Lempika, impressed by the work of Michelangelo and Dominique Ingres. Participants are Pyotr Aksenov, Vita and Anya Buivid, Daria Usova, Marina Fedorova, Dmitry Tsvetkov, Masha Tsigal, Yuri Shabelnikov. RuArts Gallery (1st Zachatievsky Lane, 10, building 1), until April 30.
“1812 in the paintings of V.V. Vereshchagin. The paintings are exhibited, as Vereshchagin intended, under special lighting, music and noise accompaniment, with literary texts by the artist himself. Historical Museum , until May 10.
Alexander Shevchenko. Painting. Graphics. A.V. Shevchenko (1883-1948) was not one of the discoverers and inventors of new paths, but he accumulated a number of important trends and individually and uniquely refracted them in his art. It includes more than 150 works of painting and graphics from the State Tretyakov Gallery, the State Russian Museum, the State Museum of Fine Arts. A.S. Pushkin and several private collections. "Heroes of Levitation" The new project of one of the most promising young authors of Moscow art continues the main theme of his art - the search for the universal, final basis of our existence, hope for meaning beyond the obvious hopelessness of life. The main objects of the exhibition are three huge human figures formed from bread. Naked, primitively absurd, they are presented in the simplest poses, with difficulty overcoming the force of vital, earthly gravity. Stella Art Foundation (Mytnaya, 62), until May 30.
