Joakim Eskildsen was born in Copenhagen in 1971. In 1994, he moved to Finland, where he graduated from the University of Art and Design. He created many books, each of which is an independent finished story. The most famous is the Roma Journeys project, possibly the brightest and most likely the lightest for the description, which I am going to imagine here.
From 2000 to 2006, Joakim Eskildsen, along with the co -author of Cia Rinne, visited seven countries to study and understand the life of the gypsies. The very first meeting with gypsies occurred in the town of Hevesaranyos in Northeast Hungary, where they spent four months in the house of the elderly gypsy of Magda. Other trips were to Romania, India and Finland, which became possible through personal contacts. And to organize travels to Greece and Russia, an organization on human rights helped them, in France the Paris Center for Research of the Gypsies provided assistance. These studies are a product of many coincidences that helped the authors come into contact with local residents.
