Steam and trains

I would like to present to your attention one of my favorite contacts on Flickr.
For some reason, he does not want him to be known by his name, prefers Tarboat.

I have been following his photos for a long time and decided to ask him a couple of questions, to find out in more detail.

He lives in England. When I asked how old he was, the answer was a lie: "I have many years, I even managed to see English steam trains in action."
K serious photography, he came up quite late and was the closest to this hobby when digital cameras became better quality.

His trains, in the greatest compounds, industrial. China, his beloved country for photographs of trains.
Nowadays, almost all trains are electric, and besides attractions for tourists, the current steam trains have become quite rare. You can find them in remote parts of China, Romania, Bosnia and Germany. As soon as he has the opportunity, he travels to these countries, the local population, people working by train helps him to find the best places for photographs. Some he even photographs and says that, for him, is an honor to look into their world. Even if steam is his first love, he likes to photograph everything that is connected with industrial transport.
Sometimes in his photographs, the train itself is very small, but its power and importance are still clear.
