When the MP3 era came, many discs of the discs of the disks were horrified, as the covers of the disks began to disappear. At first there was a vinyl with large pleasant covers, then, when the CDs appeared, the covers decreased, and when the MP3 format came, the covers began to be lost in the Internet (while ITUNES did not make an interface with the covers).

How about buying a couple of good old vinyls and getting into the book?
Last year, the Sleeveface group began on-line action: choose a favorite cover of vinyl (maybe something from your mother’s collection). And capture the story with the participation of the cover in the main role (do not forget about the study of parts and the environment). The results of the action are currently presented in the Sleeveface book - Be the Vinyl
PingMag interviewed one of the three founders, Karl Morris.

The creative use of the album art is not a new occupation, when and as Sleevface - did the movement have begun? This movement began when I was a DJ at the Cardifa Bar (Wales). Once I took the cover of Paul McCartney, put my face in place and took a photo. Later, my friends of DJs and I started taking such photos. I sent a photo from McCartney and Ted Vozhen to the local music forum. When about ten such photos appeared, I decided to register the Sleeveface.com domain in May 2007 on which I later made a blog. John Rostron created a Facebook group, and Evan (Jonesmorris) made the video How to Sleeeveface voiced by Hugh Stevens (Radio-House BBC).
Recently, John Rostron on Facebook said that the Sleeveface movement is the salvation of Vinil and MP3 CDs. Comment.
Sleeveface originated in the MP3 era, but many people could have been photographed with the covers before. It's just that now the era of social networks where everyone can share anything very quickly. Such systems are interactive, in them everything changes faster than passive carriers. It is also an era when the story becomes flat, I mean that people can share old music as new, and always have the opportunity to combine mixing updating.

Wise words. What do you say about the spirit of movement?
Sleeveface Spirit is these nickery notes, good music, good art! As a bonus, you have fun and communicate with friends. We receive messages and photos from around the world, such as the USA, England, Canada ... also Brazil, Chile and South America, the most strong movement in these countries.
Why do you think it will be a global success?
This is interesting visually, it is ridiculous, memorable, easily deciphered the name. In addition, the presence in many social networks. Everyone can participate, and if you take a good picture, then a thousand people will see it within 24 hours.
Who is the most popular Sleeveface artist?
I would say Barry Manilov, Barbara Streisand, David Bowie and Phil Collins
Ha! And how to make a good picture?
Well ... a good composition, covers that have not yet been. To dig deeper! For example, unusual places, props, even if these covers have already been. The photos in the photograph will also help. Select a little time if the head on the cover is too small ask a friend to hold and move to the right distance. In the end, watch our video.

What is your favorite job?
I like the authors who take our concept, and try to expand it.
For example, work "
Someone's hands rummage in plates"

What do you think about the movement against covers?
An interesting concept, but also look at XTC - Go 2 , The Beatles - White Album , or Flipper - Album Generic Flipper .
Your movement was so popular that you published the Sleeveface book - Be the Vinyl , how did the book appear?
We received a call from a literary agent 50-center, he saw us on the Internet and introduced us to Artisan Books an independent New York enthusiastic publisher. The book is just fantastic. I sometimes look at her, and each time I find new interesting details in the pictures.
Agent 50-CENT! Everything is cooler and cooler. And you have not received any complaints from artists of designers about rights?
We received only gratitude, no one ever complained. There is one very positive quote from Devid Bowie on the cover. It seems that ambitions in life come true, before taking a picture I asked Devid, he approved. He is a good lawyer for Sleeveface;)
Behind on the cover, quote Steffen Morris.
We also received several reports by Andy Bella from Erasure, producer Arthur Baker, Bill Dramond from KLF and Adam Anta.
Does your movement spread very actively what you are doing at Sleeveface parties? Collective Sleeveface Photo?
We took a number of mass Sleeveface photos, but basically we just have fun, and the photographer just takes pictures. It is concerned when you know those people who are behind the covers in the face.
And finally, what is the next in your Sleevface empire?
This is for you! What records do you have on the shelf? A lot of opportunities to do something new.
Thank you, Karl. Now, let's have fun too and make a couple of Sleeveface-photo!
