| Maya Plisetskaya presented an album of her photographs Maya Plisetskaya once complained that it was difficult to live in a country where you couldn’t find more than three types of cheese. Andrei Voznesensky, who appeared on the stage of the New Opera on Monday to congratulate the ballerina on the appearance of her next photo album (“Ave Maya”, which contains previously unpublished photographs), gave a wonderful formula: “Russia is a country not of cheeses, but of great "raw". And the “syrikhs” greeted the poet’s words with applause.
At the evening - the presentation of a photo album (300 photographs, compiled by Valery Golovitser), held at the Novaya Opera, there were indeed a lot of them. Let the name “syrikha” initially not refer to them, these crazy fans of Maya Mikhailovna, who once in the Soviet years were unable to get flowers that matched the ballerina’s dress, and painted a sheaf of white carnations with colored ink (which happened when she pressed the bouquet to her !..). Opera fans gathered at the Cheese store on Tverskaya many decades ago. But this store is long gone, and the word has become a household word. And it is pronounced by respectable ladies with a sparkle in their eyes, with passion and undisguised pride.
They have something to be proud of - and now, in order to see their goddess, they are capable of complete self-denial. For example, sit through the concert that accompanied the presentation.
It was opened by the duet of Ilze Liepa and Nikolai Tsiskaridze, who danced a fragment from “The Queen of Spades” by Roland Petit (because on the evening organized by the Maris Liepa Foundation, the daughter of the famous dancer could not help but appear on stage; as, indeed, the son, who was an entertainer, - - this couple will never miss the chance to shine at an evening in honor of a great man, however, they often prefer the dead, they are already unrequited). Then there was the “Queen” number: gymnast Marcella Soltan in a costume that resembled a black condom, and with a royal crown on her head, twirled large shiny balls in her hands (the presenter turned to Maya Mikhailovna, who spent the first part of the evening in the stalls: “You danced the queen of the dungeon. I I'm sure (!) you'll like it." The eyes were rested when the “black” pas de deux from “Swan Lake” was confidently danced by Galina Stepanenko and Andrei Uvarov - and almost filled with tears when Nina Ananiashvili, portraying a dying swan, trembled and wrung her hands as if denoting the era of the silent cinema (which was rude to the heroine of the evening - she began her career much later, after all).
Then they showed a film made by the Bolshoi Theater video studio (an amazing editing technique - Plisetskaya’s dance begins, is interrupted, interviews with colleagues are held - and behind the scenes the music continues, that is, somewhere there she is dancing - then they show the final piece of the dance; the viewer is forced to do this hate everyone who speaks: they don’t let you look). And finally Maya herself came out: she walked, slightly sneaked around the stage, played with white and red fans in a small number, invented especially for her by Bejart, and showed: her hands are still the same, the brilliant hands of the great ballerina. Then - screams, flowers, a standing ovation (however, at the beginning of the evening too - when Plisetskaya walked to her place in the hall). The cheesecakes passed the test. The next one (pah-pah-pah) will be in a year, on the anniversary.
