Russia calls for a global list of terrorists

Russia calls for a global list of persons involved in terrorist activities. This was stated today in Moscow by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov. He believes that such persons "must be issued to states", ITAR-TASS reports.

“Russia submitted a proposal for such a list to the UN Security Council, it was taken into study and a special group was created to study this issue,” Lavrov recalled. He believes that "it is necessary to exclude double standards."

The Minister said that within the framework of the UN last year, a lot of work was done to combat terrorism. He noted the participation of Russia in the operation "Active Efforts in the Mediterranean Sea", designed to prevent smuggling of materials that can be used by terrorists.

All decisions made "will be implemented, including through collective patrolling by the military vessels of the Black Sea basin, joint exercises," said Lavrov.

Recall that the Russian authorities have repeatedly demanded that they give them the persons whom the Prosecutor General suspected of involvement in terrorism. Among them, for example, Boris Berezovsky and Ahmed Zakaev living in London. They received political asylum in the UK, where local justice ignored the calls of the domestic prosecutor's office to send them to their homeland.
