Aliens arrive on a small island, located somewhere near Ireland. A woman is sent from Dublin, and monsters with tentacles like Kthulhu arrive from space. If the first was brought from the capital, most likely, so that it does not get confused under her feet, then the motives of the monsters are not entirely clear. Either they decided to seize our mother land, or simply by chance fell. One thing is clear - these creatures are terribly gluttonous creatures, and soon all the inhabitants of the island will become their dinner if they do not figure out how to cope with unexpected guests. The Lisa Copes is also unexpected, but she may well become her own if the bartender persuades her to marry a local policeman suffering from alcoholic addiction. This same policeman, by the way, will become the Savior of mankind, because it will guess that the monsters are terribly not like alcohol. And the only way out to save all the inhabitants of the village is a large -scale party with the “ruff” as the main dish ...
John Wright , Grabers, because of the local color and monsters, which is influenced by water, compare with the "once in Ireland" and "Gremlin" , but the picture does not have enough workshops of dialogues of the brothers of the McDonachs and Zalihvitsky humor Joe Dante . Nevertheless, it is the Irish outback that has a beneficial effect on the perception of the film, makes you love taciturn and always drunk characters, simultaneously giving food for reflection on the similarity of the mentality of Russians and Irish. The absence of media persons plays for the benefit of the film. All actors are practically unknown to the Russian viewer, with the exception of Richard Koyl , who can be remembered by roles in the Prince of Persia and the recent sequel of the Hell Bunker . Ruth Bradley in the role of Lisa is remarkably drunk. Russell Toowi created a memorable image of a bored young scientist who, for once, fell into his hands of a creature unknown to science, but who had not yet managed to inform the general public about this, for he was sent to heaven in the best traditions of comedic horror. In the picture, in general, that is not a character, then a colorful model of a typical Irishman. As for the alien glue, they, of course, are secondary to many aliens from distant space (in the film there are, by the way, references to the “Alien” ). Nevertheless, it is funny to watch them when they swing on a lamp or try to climb onto the bar. As for the plot as a whole, since this movie, despite the monsters and a sea of alcohol, is another story about nascent love. And therefore, it is interesting to watch it not only for the drunks and fans of horror films, but also to the couples who ran to the movie show in order to aim to aim in the darkness of the hall.http://www.kino-teatr.ru/kino/art/PR/2604/
