On December 8, the walruses of the Zdorovyak winter swimming society opened their sixth swimming season. The swims took place on Boyarskoye Lake, the society’s organizer Vladimir Fokin told the TV2 news agency.
“Last year we opened the season on Tom, but this year the ice there was not yet stable, so we decided to hold the event on Boyarskoye Lake. Everything went very well. In total, about 30 people participated. They had fun, swam, jumped over the fire. There were even swims in costumes,” said Vladimir Fokin.
He added that this year, according to tradition, walruses intend to organize swims on December 31. Thus, celebrate the coming New Year.
