Did you survive the 90s?

Putin never misses an opportunity to remind us that thanks to him we emerged from a series of social, economic and political crises of the 90s. It has long been clear that it’s not thanks to him—it’s just that oil is getting more and more expensive, and Putin and his government either steal this money or squander it. With such large (and increasing) revenues from the sale of hydrocarbons, we could have gotten off the oil needle long ago or at least reduced our dependence on raw materials, but we keep pumping and pumping... At one point, long-developed fields will simply dry up, and no one wants to develop new ones — it’s clear what this will lead to.

Now it turns out that we weren’t far off. Again, large-scale protests are taking place throughout the country, which are carefully hushed up by the authorities or called the tricks of the US State Department. Terrorist attacks under Putin never went away: explosions in the subway, at the airport, and now it turns out that some would-be terrorists wanted to blow up Putin himself. True, no one believed it, but the Kremlin political strategists had no idea. Even Mavrodi’s financial pyramid was revived last year almost under the same name (now it is MMM-2011) and is now gaining momentum; currently millions of people have already invested in the office of “not freeloaders, but partners.”

If we continue in the same spirit, the 90s will turn out to be even better than Putin’s 10s. Let's get out, Vladimir Vladimirovich, before it's too late.
