In Astrakhan, a rally in support of Shein turned into a march to the regional election commission; the police were blocking the protesters.

The call to go to the building of the election commission was put forward by Oleg Shein himself at a rally held on the steps of the building of the city committee for urban planning, in the premises of which the hunger strike is taking place. Among the slogans shouted by the protesters was “Shame on Zhilkin!”

During the rally, provocateurs from the “NASHI” movement were seen in the crowd. One of them threw a piece of paper at Oleg Shein, who was speaking at that moment. According to the correspondent, some of the participants in the pro-Kremlin movement were already seen yesterday at the Astrakhan airport, where they met oppositionists who arrived in Astrakhan to support the hunger strikers.

The protesters managed to pass only two houses in the direction of the regional election commission, after which the police blocked them at the intersection of Sovetskaya Street. After this, the procession turned in the opposite direction. Having walked 200 meters to one of the central squares, people set up three tents.

This is already very serious. It looks like people are running out of patience. What's next? But here's the big question. The authorities have driven themselves into a corner, now they can either harshly suppress the protesters, thereby finally turning the country into a police state, or make a terrible, but saving decision for themselves - to win back, accept the demands of the population and begin reforms that are so important for the country: political, economic and state ones.

They will have to start anyway, the only question is how much blood will be shed and people killed, what shocks will have to be endured before the Kremlin understands: the country is waking up, it no longer wants verticality and hypocrisy, the country wants to survive in its entirety, and not just in the number of members of the cooperative "Lake".
