| The Russian Championship ended in farce They say football is better than theater: there is no predetermination, and you never know how the performance will end. They're lying. The last round of the Russian championship proved that football matches are the same theatrical performances. And although the scenarios may be different, even exciting, the ending is still obvious. On the final day of the national championship, three matches took place, which were of interest from the point of view of the distribution of medals and the determination of teams leaving the Premier League. All of them ended with predictable, if not long-determined, results.
"Rubin" - CSKA - 3:2. Looks like it was a comedy. Moreover, performed in the best traditions of the genre. Time after time, the army team brought their opponents to striking positions. But they were either too worried, or had already begun to celebrate winning bronze, but could not hit someone else’s goal. And CSKA goalkeeper Veniamin Mandrykin, it seems, was not aware that he had to miss. But Rubin scored into their own goal willingly. And after a masterfully executed own goal by Uruguayan Scotty, the Russian champion took the lead. Then there was a funny penalty (there must be at least something funny in a comedy), then army forward Kirichenko missed the empty goal from two meters, and then the same Kirichenko, apparently without wanting it, again brought his team forward. But any performance of this genre must end with a happy ending. And the teams coped with this task brilliantly. Moreover, the winning goal, so that there would be no doubt about who gave Rubin the bronze medals, was scored into their own goal by the army team themselves.
"Lokomotiv" - "Uralan" - 6:0. This match cannot be called anything other than a tragedy. “Uralan” said goodbye to the Premier League, and at the same time suffered a humiliating defeat. But Loko, who proved with their game that they deserve more than fourth place, was left without medals. After the referee's final whistle, the Lokomotiv players remained on the field to watch the match between Rubin and CSKA, which was broadcast on the stadium scoreboard. After Kazan's winning goal, the railway workers went to the locker rooms, not shy in expressing their feelings. The only thing that Lokomotiv players can somehow console themselves with is captain Dmitry Loskov's first place in the championship scorer dispute.
"Spartak" - "Torpedo-Metallurg" - 0:2. A fairly convincingly executed farce. Moreover, for “Torpedo-Metallurg” this was far from a premiere show. The previous two years, this team, although it had a slightly different name, also finished the championship exclusively in 14th place. Stability is a sign of class, and the Metallurgists did not intend to lower it. Having taken a penalty for unknown reasons in the first half, the Torpedo team postponed the celebration of their salvation until the 87th minute, when Monarev’s strike deprived Uralan of even their illusory hopes of an accident.
Among the remaining matches of the final round, one can note another defeat for Saturn-REN TV. Fourth in five matches under the leadership of Oleg Romantsev. The most surprising thing is that after such results, many coaches either resign themselves or are simply kicked out by management. However, Romantsev has been living in our championship for a long time, not being guided by generally accepted rules. As well as the top officials of the Moscow region club. And a contract was signed with Oleg Romantsev for a period of three years. Its conditions, as well as the tasks set for the team, are not advertised. But now Saturn fans are starting to take a closer look at the teams with whom they believe they will fight for survival.
Usually, clubs that have just joined the Premier League join this fight. Based on the results of the last season, Amkar Perm and Kuban Krasnodar made their way into the elite.
