Valery Galchenko proposes to establish a certain ratio of showing national and foreign films on television - annually the share of national films should be at least 60%. Also, the author of the bill considers it expedient to legislatively oblige television broadcasters to post socially significant information on air - it should occupy at least 20% of the airtime if the founders include state bodies and local governments; for other television broadcasters this share cannot be less than 10%.
