My opinion is extremely optional also because I myself am not a very graduated person. Not because of any special originality, outstanding talent or, conversely, increased mental originality. It’s just that, completely by chance, life turned out this way: he left his grandmother and left his grandfather, but at the same time the fox did not devour him, and the kolobok did not earn great worldwide fame.
And therefore I often hear reproaches addressed to me that I am too categorical, and I have this opportunity solely because, on the one hand, I seem to be too lucky in life, and on the other hand, even with this luck there is nothing really outstanding didn’t achieve it, therefore, there’s nothing much to risk. Agree. I completely agree and therefore constantly emphasize that I am a teacher of life or a preacher of moral values, like a bullet made of shit. And everything that I say, perhaps sometimes in an overly irritated tone, for which I often have to apologize, is just my private opinion and least of all imposed on anyone.
What if things had turned out differently? What if there were a different fate, a different measure of talent, different ambitions, a different family and background, different even, in the end, purely visual successes and social status?
Here you are. Everything is different. Up to age. Although it may seem that now some eight years no longer have any meaning, but this is not so. In the year when Stalin died, Pavel went to school, and I was not yet born, an important and fundamental fact, albeit quite a bit, but a different generation. Son of the great Grigory Chukhrai. He himself has long been honored, people's laureate of everything and anything he hasn't been awarded. Moreover, he is not at all the darling of fate and initially not the “golden boy”. And he didn’t leave any of his grandparents; he was completely integrated into the system and fit in well.
I say all this only to recommend that those interested and interested read a conversation with film director Pavel Grigorievich Chukhrai. I did this with great pleasure, which I consider appropriate to share.
And it’s not even a matter of whether I completely agree with everything he said. Not at all. Through the phrase I want to object or at least clarify. But this is absolutely not important. First of all, I completely agree with the existence of this kind, and what does the genus have to do with this, precisely with this specific purely human position. I understand very clearly what Chukhrai is saying, why and why he is saying this, and what he means by this. Drinking vodka with such a person would be... not that it’s not even shameful, it’s somewhat different, it’s just, rather, comfortable. However, don’t drink either. There are no problems, internal contradictions or rejections.
This is becoming less and less common these days, and therefore more and more pleasant.
