Already in the second half of the year, police officers will be dressed in a new uniform from Valentin Yudashkin. Each set will cost 34 thousand rubles - almost twice as expensive as now. However, neither the police nor the experts liked the new uniform.
It is planned to dress 870 thousand police officers in the new uniform (about 35% of the total number of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs). Their photographs, surnames, and the names of the units in which they serve will appear on the police uniform. First Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Police Colonel General Mikhail Sukhodolsky, spoke about this back in January. But only recently her photographs were posted on the police forum.
As Finam.Info writes, the new uniform will cost the Ministry of Internal Affairs 34 thousand rubles per set (680 lats), which is almost twice as expensive as the current police clothing (17.8 thousand per set). Almost 30 billion rubles will be spent from the budget on the new uniform.
But the police are not happy with what they will have to wear to work. “The new uniform is disgusting. This is not surprising, remember where we live. In this country, everything is done through one place, and not for the people, but against them!”, a visitor to one of the police forums is indignant.
True, some do not object to these innovations; more dissatisfaction is caused by the process of changing the form itself. “Personally, I am quite happy with the current uniform. A normal uniform. On one condition, if it is issued on time, in full and in the appropriate size. Otherwise, in the army, they give you either a small one or a large one and you walk around like a bastard and make people laugh. Hence it follows: uncomfortable, ugly, terrible... You run around the departments and then ask someone for what size so you can change,” notes another participant in the discussion.
The famous blogger Artemy Lebedev was amused by the new uniform. In turn, Free Press turned to the famous stylist, host of the “Female Form” program on the Domashny channel, Vlad Lisovets, for comment. “If the designer, when creating this collection, was guided by the saying “If they are afraid, it means they are respected,” then he succeeded,” he said.
The male uniform left the stylist despondent. “The entire presented collection, with the exception of the caps, which we have become accustomed to for 80 years, looks extremely strange: not elegant, does not emphasize masculinity, but on the contrary, it adds age, looks sad and dull. And some models are completely reminiscent of the times of Khrushchev’s Thaw. A man’s raincoat and a gray double-breasted jacket look more or less decent. Everything else is inspired by dullness, shapelessness, and untidiness,” Lisovets noted.
The new uniform will age the fair sex in the police and deprive them of their femininity. “Judging by these clothes, women who are far beyond working in the ranks of the police must be working... It is very difficult to distinguish a policewoman from a train conductor based on the presented uniform. The cut of the shirt collar is outdated. The jackets are not elegant. And even the bowler hat does not give us a hint, that this is a woman. A blue robe would be perfect for maids in hotels. The look of a long leather jacket involuntarily brings back memories of Bulgakov’s negative characters from “The Heart of a Dog,” and it’s already the 21st century,” the stylist is outraged.
“In my opinion, law enforcement agencies should look decent. The presented models do not represent dignity, much less elegance and modernity,” Lisovets said.
It took 5 years to create the new uniform, writes Metro. Before this, the appearance of a Russian policeman and his insignia had not changed since 1994.
