A German group, quite famous in our country thanks to club concerts. For some reason it is considered eclectic, non-commercial and generally underground. This is not entirely true. Their first albums were indeed quite heterogeneous, but the new disc is very smooth and almost background. You can be convinced by listening to the song Morgen lass ich dich frei (“Tomorrow I will let you go”).
In the 90s, this kind of opus was called indie pop. This is clear, melodic music, song-based, which is released by small independent labels, in contrast to the catchy, pretentious and mass-produced official pop music produced by major labels. Overall, Melancholich Schoen is quite nice, but completely vegetarian and quite monotonous. It remains to add that the phrase Zwei Raumwohnung literally translates as “two-room apartment.” But there is a small problem here: this is what the former East and West Germans call their united homeland.
