Gordon Parks
Gordon Parks was born on November 30, 1912 in Fort-Skott, Kansas, and was the youngest of fifteen children. At the age of twenty -five, Parks began to seriously engage in photography.
In 1944, Parks became interested in fashion shooting, and, despite racism in a fashionable business, was hired by Vogue magazine. And in 1947, he published his first book “Flash PhotoGraphy” (“Photo with a flash”). Gordon was the first black photographer to become an employee of Life: he worked in the state of the magazine for 20 years, until 1968, when he dedicated himself to the most part to cinema.
