Stop Sign

Once again about road signs. There were already posts on Lam on the topic of creative approaches to the design of transport infrastructure. This post is dedicated to various variations of the traffic sign of Stop.

As it turned out, the design of red signs can be quite interesting, captivating both people's craftsmen and local authorities. For example, the administration of the suburbs of Chicago OUK LOO, Illinois, launched a campaign, the purpose of which was to stop the speed under the “stop” signs. The administration placed signs with the inscriptions “right there, Pilgrim”, “In IIIIII of Love”, “Feel the smell of roses”, “Do not slow down - pass”, “This sign means that you are standing still” under 50 “Stop” signs.

Having started in September 2007, unfortunately, the action was folded in April 2008 by the Illinois Transport. Leaving the signs, the city could lose federal financing.
