The favorite topic of science fiction writers is that humanity is still unable to implement is a full -fledged trip to space and other planets. But their audience is “reading” people, and according to statistics they become less and less every year. But because Such works are ideal family cinema, producers from the beginning of the release of such books dreamed of proper adaptations. And although attempts at film adaptations have been made more than once, but due to the lack of the proper level of effects, technologies and budgets, attempts either failed or put off in the table box. The only thing the creators could afford was to reduce the production and simplify the action to the maximum, but they avoided the whole and full -scale version. Time passed after the release of such paintings as “Lord of the Rings”, “Golden Compass”, “The throne: Heritage”, etc., Disney studio decided to take a chance and invest huge funds (more than 200 ml. Dollars) that in her opinion could grow into “chicken”, which would carry gold eggs, namely a new fantastic franchise.

John Carter, a former military man who lost his entire family during the fighting, is looking for a cave with gold in order to at least somehow distract from spiritual tortures. In one of the tunnels, John faces a man who holds a strange object in his hands, not having time to understand the Carter is transferred to Mars. Due to gravity and his anatomy, the hero acquires superpowers, which makes it a “tidbit” for each of the peoples living on the planet. Trying to return “home” John is involved in the war, which lasts a very long time, and he has a real chance to put the final point in it, but for this he will have to grow up, arrange priorities and possibly find a family and true love.

The Princess of Mars tried to launch for eighty years, and the character - John Carter this year, is at all a hundred years old. The first novel of the “Barsum cycle” went through a huge number of eminent and not very directors: Robert Rodriguez, Kerry Konran, John Favro and others. As a result, the picture went to Andrew Stanton to the two -time winner of the Oscar and the creator of one of the best cartoons of the Pixar studio: “Valley” and “In search of Nemo”. After reading in childhood the book “Princess of Mars” Burroughs Stanton dreamed of seeing her on the big screen all his life, but having learned that John Favro's undertaking failed, convinced Disney, who at that time had the right to screen, that he was an ideal director for such a project.

The director spent several years on painstaking preparation of the material for filming and only, having conferred as material (Pixar employees served as “experimental rats”), began filming. Although the picture turned out to be somewhat cumbersome, in general, Stanton was able to recreate the world invented by Burrose. He, with crazy painstaking, combined the stories taking place on Earth and Mars, introduced the viewer to most alien tribes over a short period of time.

Andrew Stanton and Mark Andrews, having sown for writing the script, deepened the original book for several years, increased the production process and due to the fact that the authors abandoned the original paintings of Burroughs invented specifically for the book. The scenario, which was written for four years, eventually did not inspire the director, and the studio hired Michael Chabon the author of Spider-2 and Wunderkinds, so that he brings significant edits to him. The plot turned out to be sweeping, colorful and multi -layer. Each race has a place in the script, the introductory part and description of the inhabitants of Mars passes quickly and during the plot, preventing the audience from distracting from developing events.

Unlike most paintings that were created on the basis of “Princess Mars”, “John Carter” has not only spectacular special effects, but also the script that is completed and intriguing until the last minutes. It is also interesting that cheerful and cheerful humor was entered into the project, which is usually not so strong in such projects.

The Princess of Mars influenced most of the science fiction that has appeared over the past hundred years, so John Carter resembles most of the paintings of this genre: “Fifth Element”, “Star Wars”, “Tintin”, “Avatar”, “Torah” and the Brothers of the Strugatsky brothers “Inhabited Island”.

To the leading role - Taylor Kitschu has claims for both the acting game and the presentation of the material of the picture, to his partner is Lynn Collins, although she replays in places, there are no complaints. Any hero needs such a princess.

Mark Strong, Kyaran Hynds, Dominic West, James Pucurfoy and Daryl Sabar, excellently playing the background, despite the fact that not all of them were able to reveal their characters, but each of them will be remembered by the audience in their images.

Actors who played painted characters: Willem Defoe, Thomas Hayden Cherch, Samart Morton, are remembered no less than those who played their characters in “living”, and sometimes replaying them.

Separately, I would like to highlight the popularity of dogs that accompany the heroes. Recently, this is the third project that comes to mind, after Tintin and the Artist, where one of the main characters is a dog, even an alien, as in this case.

Operator Daniel Mindel shot a picture, from the visual series of which the viewer will have to leave for a while to get used to his everyday, ordinary realities.

3D effects are small and, despite the fact that they, of course, add a depth project, this is not the 3D that you want to discuss.

John Carter is a project that was preparing so much time that he simply could not disappoint all those who, after reading or hearing about the project, was waiting for his release. They will be satisfied with everything because the authors created a very high -quality, thought -out, multi -level project that can charm and captivate the majority of spectators who came to the cinema.
