Yesterday I was a little late for the rally and, approaching Pushkinsky from Dmitrovka, I turned not left to Strastnoy, but right to the square. A small group of citizens stood at the fountain and mournfully sang "Hallelujah."
“Lord,” I thought in horror, “was it really Yabloko that organized a prayer stand against Sobyanin’s tiles, the construction of parks with churches and the increase in housing and communal services tariffs? It can’t be!”
Of course, this was not “Yabloko”, it was a group of Orthodox citizens who stood prayerfully at some stone with the image of some monastery (and where did this stone come from?) and resolutely demanded that all the inhabitants of the square - and the fountain, and the benches, and the public garden beloved by the people, and the cinema of the same name, and even the miraculous monument to the great poet would have been immediately destroyed so that another temple of quite impressive size would be erected in their place. This is the modest demand of a small group of citizens.
Well, I have already written about the indefatigable church construction in Moscow and will not repeat myself. I will only say that out of two hundred churches that were discussed at public hearings recently, only 60 passed these hearings, and even here, I am sure, there was complete fraud. Another thing is interesting - who authorized this action, this Orthodox flash mob in the center of the capital, and precisely at the historical point where both rallies converged? Is it really Pushkin?
Well, with the rally in defense of Astakhov, everything is clear - this does not require permission in our country, this is welcomed and heavily funded. But there were enough problems with permission to hold a rally in defense of Muscovites. And suddenly there is an unauthorized gathering at the fountain, there is a crowd of police around, and no one bothers the picket participants! Miracles, and that’s all!
Surely they gave orders from above. God, or maybe Sobyanin, because there seems to be no one else.
