SELFBURNING – OUR PROJECT
The Selfburning Project is an independent and non-profit enterprise. Selfburning consists of two people. We live and work in Moscow. Since 2006 we have been making short films and animation. We participate in thematically focused events.
Piece is the product of Selfburning’s communication with artist Skaletsky and musician Labychev. The sculpting of the collage was filmed with a camera. The sequence of shots is cut into layers and supplemented with animation, and the hour-long performance of the drummer is recorded and mixed in the overlay of several rhythmic patterns on each other.
