Somewhere a couple of years ago it was difficult to imagine what these widespread “games in hip-hop” would turn into. How are the unpretentious minimum -grained melodies with the texts “for life”, soaked in forbidden substances, will take possession of the teenage consciousness, and they, in turn, will quote the lines of the Guf and the Baste about white roads and “buns”, often without realizing what the author had in mind.

Who would have thought that the most popular communities on social networks would be the fan clubs of rappers, and the Casta group will become the most rating artist in Russian MTV. If earlier someone else doubted the future of the Russian rap and in its solidity as a genre, now we can say with complete certainty that hip-hop in Russia exists, he is full of strength, feels confident and makes grandiose plans.

As a person opened to everything new and having a fairly wide look at the music as a whole, I could not remain aloof from this phenomenon and over the past year I carefully studied what is called in our country a “Russian ramp”.

Frankly, it is difficult to name a picture that opened my eyes. There are many questions: who are these people? What do they want to convey? Why are they so aggressive in relation to each other? At what point does the teenager decide that he is able to learn the lives of others and is taken by the microphone? And most importantly-why does today's domestic rap barely reach the American samples of the second half of the 90s, and no one seeks to approach modern trends?

I studied the entire Russian rap, which I could find - from the classics of the 2HCOMPANY alternative to the ill -fated Timati. In the endless disputes that “Tru” and that “Fake” I never received answers to my questions, but I noticed an interesting trend - it turned out that most of the performers I liked, as a rule, came to rap from other genres. Although, this does not mean at all that there are no talented rappers initially.

It so happened that people who grew up on another music or who came to the rap quite late manage to do something truly unique (an example - "bloodstress"). It is they who bring something new, interesting, filled with meaning and emotions to the rap.

There are few such people, but they are and some of them are quite popular. For example, the Belgorod Freestyeler with a guitar Noize MC, which is now wheeling with tour throughout the country. The leader of the Novosibirsk rappor/funk/punk of the EBA-DEY GANG group and a teacher of one of the universities of Novosibirsk, a certain uncle Zhenya. The Arkhangelsk guy with the pseudonym “Your brain” and songs about love and hatred from the group “Rights of Resistance”, which, by the way, is an official participant in the famous group Wu Tang Family. Yes, at least the same “bloodstress”. And, perhaps, the most talented domestic bitmaker - Beatmaker Dima with his team 3NT and a new 1ND1A indie project. Interview with him I want to present to your attention.

- Dima, tell me a little about yourself and your story.

- No matter how pathos it sounds, but music is an integral part of my life. In my school years, I had a rock band, but things somehow did not go with it. Later there were still experiments, but in something serious it all resulted in when I and my friend Rus (AKA Indian) joined the rappa fan to the bones of Vova Aka Sketch. So the rap team "A clear day" appeared. This happened in 2000.

- How did your musical preferences change over time?

- I grew up on Nirvana and Guns & Roses, later fell in love with Oasis. Arriving at the hip-hop, the niptunes and TimBaland. Now in my “contact” profile in my favorite artists, in addition to the already mentioned, they indicate: Incubus, The Killers, Gym Class Heroes, Arctic Monkeys, Cobra Starship, Justice and many others.

“Then why rap, with such addictions?”

-Let's just say: I am a fan of beautiful music, I do not want to highlight any specific styles, but it was in hip-hop that I felt comfortable. Rap for me is a convenient form of self -expression. Although, I must admit, a lot of what is happening in the Russian raP I do not like. I was never interested in ideology in music. Music for me is a state, emotions, associations, if you want.

Since we came to rap from another musical world, we wanted to express this in our songs, in texts, in sound. And the first album “Darkly Day” very well conveys our sensations. Even when we wrote about sex and drugs, we tried to do it without unnecessary pathos and vulgarity. In general, I do not really like to analyze creativity. To the question: “Who are you? What do you want to say? " I cannot answer unequivocally, like: "I am a sportsman and try to convey the ideas of sports in my music." Just music is what I live and I am a musician. Although, sometimes I say that we play in the style of Rock & Beat. This is our own style (laughs).

- And what happened to the second album?

- Oh, here is an interesting story. After the release of the album, the “understandable day” came a pause. In addition, disagreements in the group began to arise, and we decided to do something like a production project. Girl MC - Reny Miss. The album "Metro" was supposed to become its solo, but it so happened that the work on the project grew into the creation of our second album, and Reny spoke on it as a member of the 3NT group. If you compare it with the first album, then, of course, they turned out to be very different.

- On the network you can hear that 3NT is called the word "commerce" or "Americanism". How do you feel about this, because, as I know, you did everything yourself, without financial injections from the outside?

- I feel calm. The rappers are customary to meet everything new in hostility. No wonder in this environment there is the concept of Hater. I am from an ordinary Russian family, and there were no “influential people” behind us. And I will not hide that I want to be rich and famous. By the way, do you accidentally need a tie? (laughs)

In my opinion, these are natural desires, and I think the one who says that his product is only “for his own” is cunning. But, nevertheless, I can sincerely say: everything that I did and do is from the heart. First of all, music, and money is in second place.

Experience shows that good music always finds its listener, for example, our “Mirror” track was downloaded on the network about 300 thousand times. However, no one paid us for him, but the musician also needs to eat. In addition, if we have enough money, we would love to spend them on clips, which we are so missing to “shoot”. But what Russian rap is definitely not enough is Self -irony.

-If you carefully follow how your work has changed, then only the deaf will not notice the transition from the hooligan “rapper” to the adult mainstream hip-hop, and then to full-fledged pop trees, such as the same “mirrors”. What explains such a transformation?

- In fact, there is no transformation. It's just that these are different faces and one of them can dominate. Sometimes I want to fuck, and sometimes write something serious. Even when we made tracks about Babe and Substances, we had lyrical songs.

As for pop tracks, I generally think that it is high time to update our pop music. The form in which it now exists, to put it mildly, is no longer relevant. It is necessary to eradicate the "scoop", do good pop. I do not see anything wrong with high-quality pop music.

- You are completely focused on 3NT, but how are you doing with the 1nd1a project? Tell me about him.

- Great! 7 tracks have already been recorded, there will be more. Project 1nd1a appeared after the departure of Rus' from 3NT. After the release of the metro album, he decided to separate. We already imagined how the 1nd1a songs would sound. Fundamentally abandoning the electric guitar and armed with MPC, they began to do what we love to call the word Rock & Beat.

- What should we expect in the near future?

- Now we have recorded a lot of new material. The first thing you hear is the solo work of Kamazz'a.

I think that for each MC the main thing is to say something - so, he succeeded. “Solo” is in some way a story about yourself, many tracks are autobiographical. There are very personal songs, there are such “Boeviki songs”, there are experiments. The album is very diverse, but at the same time whole, everyone will find something in it. Partly this fluff for “understandable day”, but at the same time the album is completely different from our previous works.

After the Kamazz sololet, the third album 3nt will be released. He promises to be interesting. There are tracks in the cunning of which we are absolutely sure. Although, I will not make a guess, time will tell. By the way, we will soon launch our site , on which we will post the “zero” album, which has not been published and is stored in my computer.

Well, then, approximately in the spring there will be my solo.

- Bitmeker sololete? Will it be rap?

- No, it will not be a rap album, although rap will also be in sufficient quantities. I have many ideas that are not always possible to implement in the framework of the group, and I want to write my album. Another line of my work. It will be more like an image album than for the masses. There will be a lot of interesting combinations of which the goal of showing artists in the ampoule unusual for them, while without going beyond their own style.
